LG Dual-Blending Screen: Curve-Display Time Is Coming ?

LG Dual-Blending Screen: Curve-Display Time Is Coming ?

Everyone can use only once this coupon code: ETS3D7DK for extra discounts on http://www.etradesupply.com  on order over $50 before February 10, 2015

Do you still remember the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge showed in IFA 2014, the first curve-display cellphone? In CES 2015, LG introduced a new panel that bends on both sides. The eternal battle between these 2 tech giants starts in the curve-display. The new LG screen showed in CES 2015 is a 6 inches Active Bending OLED display. It can alert notifications on the side bars to its users. Imagine that, when you are playing games, the notification on the side bar shows your girlfriend comments on your posts. But it’s also has short comings that the resolution is only 1280*720 and brightness is 300 nits.

As we all know, the bigger display a cellphone has, the higher risk it will be crashed. What’s more, it’s not hard to imagine when the phone with a dual-blending display drop on the ground, the touch point is more likely to be shattered.
LG Display hasn’t yet set up a roadmap to manufacture this new panel. However, the dual-blending panel seems to be a symbol that predicts more and more curve-display phone will come out in the future. As Moore said in the CES 2015, “Whatever has been done can be outdone”, let’s stay tuned and see.

Hardware Comparison of the Note 4 and Note Edge

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge were released almost at the same time and they share similar specifications, however, it’s known all over the web that the Galaxy Note Edge features a curved screen. Actually, there are a few other differences in the devices aside from the curved screen.
1. Side Keys
Inherited from the last generation of Galaxy Note, the Galaxy Note 4 power button is designed on the side, while it’s moved to the top in Galaxy Note Edge. The power buttons won’t be interchangeable either since they have a difference in size and shape between the two phones. Substituting the volume buttons won’t work either, obviously, as they’re different in design, too.

2. USB Charging Port
The Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge charging ports seem alike at first look, however, even if the USB charger ports are interchangeable, while the charging port flex cable ribbons are not. However, the chargers and USB data cables are compatible.

3. Battery Door
From the outside, the Note 4 and Note Edge battery covers look exact the same except for the printed logos. However, all of us were taught from a young age not to judge a book by its cover, which is fitting here. We found that the back covers hold more differences besides the printed logos, shapes and sizes when removing them to compare.

4. Battery
When opening the battery doors, don’t assume that the batteries are compatible. The Galaxy Note 4 has a 3220mAh battery, which is 220mAh bigger than the Galaxy Note Edge’s battery.

Stay tund for more hardware comparison after we tear down these two devices.
